Because I was alone in Santiago, I decided to join the evening tapas and wine tour. Karima taught me about Galician wine, the historical tidbits about chocolate in Galicia and the tarta de Santiago. There was more food than I could eat. I was happy to spend my last evening in Santiago with Karima, and I have lots of tips to make my next camino and stay in Santiago even better!
Being a pilgrim and knowing how hard it is to find really good food on the Camino, I decided to crown my journey with a food tour and never regretted this decision. A charming guide Karima with jokes and insider stories introduced us to the culture of tiny tapas bars, hundred years old bakeries and sweet shops. Without this tour I definitely wouldn't have tried the best tortilla and the best Santiago cake of the whole Camino!
Karima was our guide and she was a delightful host, knowledgeable about her city and its culinary treasures. We tried many food items and many of places which seem known only to locals. Recommend if you're into food.
