Ice-skating is a traditional winter sport and it’s also a lot of fun to do with your friends and family! Check out the big ice rink set up in Alameda Park where you can practice your skating technique and listen to popular music.

Enjoy a Special Spanish Christmas Nativity

Visit a beautiful hand-made Christmas nativity scene at the San Fiz de Solovio church, rumoured to be Santiago’s oldest church and very close to Santiago’s famous city market (Plaza de Abastos). There are more than 200 pieces in this craft nativity, showing various scenes with moving parts and even lights! This amazing local church is usually closed to the public but opens just for this special nativity, so it’s a great opportunity to visit this historic church! Visit an Artisan Christmas market

Visiting a fantastic Christmas market is the perfect plan while in Santiago during the Christmas season. You can pick up some beautiful artisanal crafts, decorations and pastries. Don’t forget to get a yummy cup of Spanish hot chocolate and some crispy churro doughnuts to keep you warm as you walk around the stalls!
